LET'S CHAT

Hello Charlène,

Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

Now living in Uzes, I spent several years working in the events and fashion industries, both in France and abroad, particularly in Switzerland and Dubai.

On my return to France, I decided to refocus on my family life and... follow a new training. As beauty, cosmetics, make-up and skincare sector had always attracted me, I went back to school for 2 years, first training in natural cosmetic formulation with (@formulabotanica), then gaining a CAP in aesthetics.

Finally, I chose to specialise in facial anatomy and facial massage techniques with the Ecole de massages holistiques (@ecoledemassages_holistiques) because, as its name suggests, this school offers a holistic approach to beauty inspired by traditional Chinese medicine. So my work as a facialist is very recent.

Your recent article on L'art du massage Kobido caught my attention! When I started my career change, it was essential for me to master this ancient massage technique, which combines aesthetic effects with deep relaxation!

You shared a space in Montaren before being able to welcome your customers to your studio in Uzès, rue du Docteur Gardes. How did you cope with this transition?

Starting out in the Montaren premises was interesting in many ways. It gave me the chance to get started and get on with things! After more than 2 years of training, I couldn't wait to get out there and do what I love.

It also allowed me to perfect my treatments and protocols and establish a relationship of trust with my customers.

You know, the skin is a fascinating subject, so vast, allowing us to intensely connect aesthetics with well-being. The study of the face, its anatomy, knowing how the skin works, all this is taken into account to adapt the treatments as best we can.

Needless to say... With each customer, we renew our approach. It's so captivating.

Tell us more about your massages?

I wanted to offer a short treatment menu that could be easily customised to suit every face. Unlike a traditional salon treatment, a one-hour facial is 90% massage and 10% application of products.

A real treatment in its own right, the various manual massage techniques chosen to suit your skin will work in depth to detoxify, drain, plump, tone and bring radiance to your face. In addition to the immediate aesthetic effects, you'll enjoy a real moment of relaxation and letting go.

Each massage begins with an assessment of the client's skin. Then each part of the face is worked on, not forgetting the neck and décolleté. Digitopressure on the meridians of the face completes the treatment in order to rebalance the whole.

The treatments are gentle and extremely relaxing, with movements that facilitate lymphatic drainage. It's in the Japanese tradition of calming the body, calming the mind and helping the circulation of energy.

I also give advice on self-massage at the end of the session, so that you can keep the benefits of the in-booth sessions at home, in peace and quiet. My aim is to help women take care of themselves in a different way by making massage part of their beauty routine!

Interested in an appointment?

A tailor-made solution is possible, and even advisable, to get the best results. Together, we'll discuss your beauty requirements: anti-stress, anti-ageing, drainage, etc. The aesthetic effects of a single facial massage session are immediate. However, for deeper, long-term effects, a massage cure is the best way to maintain your skin and facial muscles.

During the massages I use a synergy of neutral vegetable oils packaged in France (Princesse Lia, @princesselia_cosmetique), such as hazelnut, evening primrose or linseed oil, which meet my quality requirements perfectly. I also give advice at the end of the session, so that you can keep the benefits of the salon sessions at home.

I have a fairly minimalist approach to my skincare routine. "Less is more"... as they say in English.

A simple but effective routine that doesn't damage the skin barrier, combined with a facial massage... it's the secret to beautiful, healthy skin!
