I'm delighted to welcome you to the Terroir pages of UzEssentiel,

First of all, can you introduce yourself in a few words?

Hello Nancy!

Mother of two wonderful daughters, I decided to take my career into my own hands by combining pleasure, family life and a passion for biscuit making under the name... Madame Cookie.

Since when did you embark on this all-consuming passion for cookies?

I started my first activity in November 2021 under the name Les Délices d'Anna until September 2023. The night markets in Uzès were a real springboard for me.

After a reluctant break, I've back since November 2024 under the name Madame Cookie, with a 7-month-old baby and a 7-year-old daughter who is and... was already a great advisor to me.

What did you do before becoming Madame Cookie?

I've always been versatile, having worked in the textile trade, beauty, perfumery and nail art.

However, pastry-making has always been a passion of mine, inherited from my grandparents, who were pastry chefs and chocolatiers.

When my first daughter was born, I gave up the business to look after her, and it was then that I found the courage to invest in my passion and my professional life.

Tell us more about your little company?

Madame Cookie is an artisanal biscuit factory where I create all sorts of cookies, brownies, brookies and chocolates. Anything is possible when it comes to baking, as long as you're creative!

I offer classic cookies, cookies with a message (to declare your love for someone, for example), mini gourmet bites, cereal cookies, pie cookies (1 kilo cookie cake) for birthdays or other events, as well as brownies, brookies, chocolates and original Yule logs. 

For me, this biscuit factory is a way of sharing my love and allowing others to share theirs through my creations.

Does Madame Cookie have any flagship or signature recipes? Have you ever had any special or challenging orders? Can you make a savoury version of your cookies, sometimes in XXL format? And, last of all, how and with whom do you work on new recipes?

The flagship recipe, I'd like to say, is the cookie dough recipe, which I invented after I don't know how many failures!

Large orders for events like Christmas (corporate gifts), weddings and christenings, well, that does happen quite often. But it requires a certain amount of logistics and a solid organisation, not to mention the organisation needed for the summer markets, which were very busy.

Anything new? I'm always coming up with new things, like ephemeral cookies. At the moment, for example, I'm working on Cookizza and Cookipero, as well as other creations for children and fans of Kawaii cookies. 

I design each of my recipes from start to finish, then they are approved (or not) by my family and friends. What's more, I like to ask my community on social networks for ideas.

Where can we find you today? Shop, market, craft fair...

At the moment, I'm mainly active on social networks and my website, as I haven't finished developing my cookies list yet. Once it is finalised, you'll be able to find my biscuits in shops and bakeries in and around Uzès. Note that I'm also planning to take part in the Uzès market from time to time!
