The Fumades thermal baths: well-being within easy reach!
FR - Allègre-Les-Fumades, at the foot of the Cévennes mountains, about 40 minutes from Uzès, is the perfect place to spend a few hours relaxing. A recently renovated aquatic area awaits you.

On the menu: steam room, sauna, sensory showers, flotarium (highly saline water pool) and 2 leisure pools (indoor and outdoor) with bubble benches, waterfalls and a variety of jets.
The whole area is bright, clean and pleasant. The 2-hour package allows you to take advantage of all the facilities and enjoy yourself.
Even so, you get the impression that time has gone by very quickly - could we say too quickly? and a taste of going back takes hold of you as soon as you leave...
But the thermal water and its many benefits work and we leave feeling relaxed and invigorated.
For those who prefer a more festive atmosphere, the pools are lit up with coloured spotlights on Thursday evenings! And... to extend the experience, there's also a spa area, which I haven't tried out, offering treatments (you have to book in advance though) as well as a jacuzzi, hammam and sauna.
Did you know? The establishment also offers the only thermal cure in the Gard region thanks to the benefits of its spring water, known since Gallo-Roman times. Captured in the Phénix borehole at a depth of 123 m and at 19º-20ºC, the sulphated, calcic, magnesian and sulphurated water is heated to optimise its qualities.

I took advantage of this getaway to have lunch at the bistrot de Jules in Navacelles which I warmly recommend for its delicious bistronomic, local and seasonal cuisine.
And, if that's not enough, you should know that all the Allègre-les-Fumades region is beautiful, and that you can go hiking, visit its 12th-century castle (read our paper) or take advantage of access to the Cèze river for fishing or swimming.
